Stella Schub, of Kingston, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017, in the Jewish Home of Northeastern PA, Scranton.
Born in the Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Bertha Gross Winogrand and was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School in the Bronx. She was a member of Temple B'nai Brith, Hadassah, the Jewish Community Center and other civic and religious organizations. Her many interests included the fine arts and especially opera, cooking and baking, travel, knitting and playing bridge.
Stella was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Stella was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her son Robert Marc Schub in 1964, her brother Garry Winogrand in 1984, and her husband of 58 years, Marvin Schub in 2006.
She is survived by her son, Barry Schub and his wife, Susie, Morristown, NJ; grandsons, Robert J. Schub and his wife, Julie Faller, Oxford, UK; Jeffrey S. Schub and his wife, Lisa Bonnifield, Hoboken, NJ.
Funeral service will be held Sunday February 5, 2017, at 12:00 noon, at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Roger Lerner officiating. Interment will be in Temple B'nai B'rith Cemetery, Hanover Township.
Visitation (Shiva) will be observed at the Woodlands Inn and Resort Sunday from 2 to 5 pm.
