SHEILA NACHLIS

Sheila Nachlis, 82, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Laflin, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Evelyn Cohen Rosen and was a member of Temple Israel. She was a graduate of Kingston High School and Wilkes College and was an elementary school teacher for the Kingston School District. She had a love for Classical Music, was a private piano instructor and a concert pianist for many churches and other organizations. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and playing Mah Jongg and on-line word games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Nachlis and brother and sister in law Joel Rosen and his wife Louise.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Brian (Sandy) Nachlis of Carmel, IN; Warren (Debbie) Nachlis of NYC and four grandchildren Elise, Harris, Jared and Zachary.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating.
