Samuel J. Pezzner (Pop), 85, of Cherry Hill, NJ, formerly of Laflin, died Saturday, October 10, 2015, in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Born in Ashley, he was the devoted son of the late Benjamin and Julia Neiman Pezzner and was a graduate of Ashley High School. He served in the Naval Reserves. Sam was co-owner of Pezzner Brothers, Inc. and was in the meat business for over 60 years. While in Laflin, Sam worked at Leslie Faye and then Walmart.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan Bynsky.
Sam resided in Cherry Hill, NJ for the past ten years and loved his job as a Greeter at Walmart.
Sam is survived by his children, son, Martin Pezzner and his wife Candi and, daughter, Laurie Levin and her husband Steve. Sam was proud of his grandchildren Allison and Jonathan Pezzner; Rachel Israelite and husband Jeremy; and Jessica and Erika Levin. He adored his great-grandchildren Mia, Morgan, and Jackson Israelite.
Sam was preceded in death by his brother Calvin Pezzner. Sam is survived by brothers, Louis and Harold Pezzner and sister Vitie Petill. Sam was a proud uncle to all of the Pezzner/Petill nieces and nephews.
Sam was a dedicated brother-in-law to Irene and the late Mel Farkas and a loving uncle and great-uncle to their three girls and grandchildren. He was also a devoted son-in-law to the late Molly Bynsky.
Graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 12:00 noon in Plains Jewish Cemetery.

Shiva will be observed at the home of his granddaughter, Rachel (Jeremy) Israelite at 46 Normandy Road, Marlton, NJ 08053, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 and Thursday, October 15, 2015.
