RUTH SILVER

Ruth F. Silver, of Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday afternoon, March 24, 2014 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born in Poland, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Mollie Seifert Feld and was a graduate of Coughlin High School. Ruth was employed as a clerk typist for the State of PA and was a member of the former United Orthodox, the former Holche Yosher, Congregation Ohav Zedek, Temple Israel and its sisterhood, the JCC and Holocaust Society.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Edith Friedman and Evelyn Goldman.

Ruth is survived by son, Rick Silver and his companion Lorinda Homar, Laflin; daughter, Francine Silver, Jamaica; one grandson, Blake, brother, Leonard Feld, Timonium, MD, nieces, nephews and very dear friends Cece and Esther.

Graveside Funeral service will be held, Sunday, May 25, 2014 at 1:00 pm in Anshe Sfard Cemetery, Lower Demunds Rd., Dallas.

Shiva will be observed at the Woodlands, Sunday through Thursday 6 to 8 pm.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to charity of donor's choice.
