ROSE LUBIN Obituary

Rose Lubin, 93, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2015 in Hallandale, Florida.

Rose was born in Manhattan on August 24, 1921, almost immediately after her parents immigrated to this country from Russia. She is a native of Wilkes-Barre having grown up there, graduating from Coughlin High School, and Wilkes-Barre Business college as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Jewish Community Center, and Temple Israel, and was very active in Hadassah, and the National Council of Jewish Women.

She is pre-deceased by her parents Jacob and Sarah Levy, her husband Dr. David Lubin, and her brother Fred Lee, of Cincinnatti.

Rose is survived by loving children Dr. Jeffrey Lubin and his wife Migdalia, of Destin, Florida; Marcia Adler of Hallandale, Florida; grandchildren Max and Joshua Lubin, Sarah Mcintyre and Robert Adler, as well as great grandchildren Jeg and Fox. Additionally she is survived by nieces and nephews both in the U.S., and Jerusalem, Israel.

Funeral services will be held at Rosenberg Funeral Chapel,348 S. River Street, Wilkes-Barre, on Wednesday May 27, 2015, 2:30 pm. Rabbi Larry Kaplan and Cantor Ahron Abraham will officiate.

Burial will be at Temple Israel Cemetery Swoyersville.

No local Shiva will be observed.
