ROBERT L. STEVENS

Robert L. Stevens, of Wilkes-Barre Township, died Sunday, June 16, 2019, in the Regional Hospital, Scranton.

Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Samuel and Rose Adler Slobodow and was a graduate of Brooklyn High School.  Bob served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was a film editor who worked on the TV show Father’s Knows Best and many movies and was a Giants Fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings.

Bob is survived by loving wife, Renee Nyman Stevens and close friend, Nancy Fancher and her daughters, Kristen (Steven) Bolin; Stephanie (Mark) Jones and their children, whom Bob considered his grandchildren, Oliver, Lukas, Brady and Roman.

Graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 1:30 pm in Anshe Ahavas Achim Cemetery, West Pittston with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.
