ROBERT M. PRASHKER

Robert M Prashker, 88, of Kingston passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Oakland Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Oakland, NJ


Born July 5, 1928 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Harry & Ruth Prashker.

He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 56 years, Helena, his eldest daughter, Jan C. Prashker and his sister Jane Walter.

Robert was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, a graduate of New York University, and in recent years was a tax volunteer with AARP.

Surviving are his daughters Amy and husband Robert Cohen, Massachusetts, Hana and husband David Noriega, New Jersey, Lori and husband Michael W. Thomas, Kingston, grandchildren, Michael and Samantha Cohen, Sonia and Aaron Noriega, Melanie Prashker-Thomas, nieces and nephews.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, January 6, 2017.

Arrangements are by Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Wilkes-Barre.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or to another charity of the donor's choice.

Shiva will be held at the family home, 805 Nandy Drive, Kingston on Sunday, January 8th and Monday, January 9th from 2-4 and 7-9.
