ROBERT KORNBLAU Obituary


Robert (Bob) H. Kornblau, of Lake Worth, FL, formerly of Kingston, died Tuesday evening, April 8, 2014, in Tamarac, FL.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Maurice and Bessie Bachman Kornblau and was a graduate of Coughlin High School and attended Kings College. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and the Korean Conflict and was an avid tennis player. He was a partner in Wilkes-Barre Window Cleaning, Inc. prior to retiring to Florida. Bob was a life member of Congregation Ohav Zedek, a past master of Landmark Lodge 442 and was a member of other civic and religious organizations.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, the former Geraldine “Gerri” Goodall and brothers, Leonard and Norman Kornblau.

Bob is survived by his children, son, Glen Kornblau, Shavertown; daughter, Randie Tobin, and her husband, John, Ewing, NJ, grandchildren, Ashleigh Davis, Seth Tobin and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted, at 2:00 PM, today, Thursday, April 10, 2014, in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Township, with Rabbi Raphael Nemetsky officiating.

Shiva will be observed at the The Woodlands, 6 – 9 pm Thursday, 2 – 5 pm Friday and 2 - 4pm Sunday

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Congregation Ohav Zedek, 242 South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre or charity of donors choice.
