Philip M. Meyer, 53, of Wayne, passed away late Wednesday evening, January 18, 2023 in Bryn Mawr Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rosalyn Gelb Meyer and was a graduate of Coughlin High School and Temple University, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree. Philip was a claims adjuster in the insurance industry and enjoyed hiking, traveling and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Philip is survived by his brothers, Louis Meyer, Steven (Julie) Meyer, Allan Meyer; sisters, Debra (Scott) Weinstein, Rebecca (Robert) Hoffman; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 11:30 am from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River Street, Wilkes-Barre with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Shiva will be observed on Monday at his brother Steven’s home in Wayne; there will be no local shiva.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Jewish Community Center, Kingston; or the Irwin Gelb Educational Fund of Temple Israel Synagogue, Wilkes-Barre, in memory of Philip."
