Marilyn Bartikowsky Obituary

Marilyn Bartikowsky, of Ann's Choice, Warminster, PA, formerly of Scranton, PA passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Miriam Meer. She was a graduate of Central High School, attended Penn State and was a longtime member of Temple Israel Synagogues in Wilkes-Barre and Scranton. 

Marilyn was an avid tennis player, bowler and skier in her younger years. She enjoyed traveling, playing mahjong, bridge, golf and loved playing pool and especially treasured the time she spent with her family and many friends. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, gracious nature, and the lasting friendships she cultivated throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, and brother she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard Bartikowsky.

She is survived by her cherished daughters, Nancy (Jeff) Palumbo of Little Silver, New Jersey; Jill Bartikowsky of Houston, Texas; and Ellen (Scott) Levithan of Lansdale, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her 4 loving grandchildren and their spouses, 7 great grandchildren as well her longtime companion Bob Altman, several nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom will miss her dearly.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, 12:00 noon in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating.

Arrangements under the direction of the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Wilkes-Barre.

Memorial contributions may be made to charity of donor's choice.
