MILDRED KAHN Obituary

Mildred Kahn, of Kingston, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024 in Tiffany Court, with family by her side.

 

Born in Staten Island, NY, she was the daughter of the late Sidney and Eva Edelstein Brass and was a graduate of Brooklyn Samuel J. Tilden High School.  Mildred worked for Wilkes College, prior to retirement and was a member of Temple B'nai B'rith.  She was also a member of the Jewish Community Center, its Leisure Lounge, its bowling league and a former president of the JCC Women's Service Club.  

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Lawrence, brother Julius Brass and son in law, Martin Heller.

 

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mark (Ruth) Kahn of West Wyoming, Allan Kahn of Shavertown; Patrice Heller of Kingston, Robin Brown of Kingston; six grandchildren Lee, Melissa, Jason, Samantha, Justin, Zachary and great grandchildren Ashley, Nathan, Ziva, Talin, great great grandchildren, Avora and Vivian.

 

Funeral will be conducted on Sunday, November 10, 2024 at 11:00 am in Temple B'nai B'rith Synagogue, Wyoming Ave. Kingston.  Rabbi David Levin will officiate.

 

Shiva will be observed on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings, from 6 to 8 pm at Temple B'nai B'rith
