Malka W. Kaufer, 90, of Kingston, died Monday morning, October 16, 2017.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Dora Iskowitz Weisberger and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School. Malka was a member of Congregation Ohav Zedek and the former United Orthodox and the former Anshe Sfard Synagogues.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Raymond Kaufer; sister Esther Kislin and brother in law, Harold Kislin.
She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Kaufer Kurtzer, Kingston; Lynda Kaufer Newirth and her husband, Brian four grandchildren, Jared, Lisa, Brett, Adam; nine great grandchildren, Avery, Jordan, Blake, Harlow, Madison, Hunter, MaKenna, Zachary and Delaney; siblings, Ruth Taren and her husband, Arnold, Ambler; Joan Yuskovitz and her husband, Sidney, West Palm Beach, FL; sister in law, Eckie Kaufer and many loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at 1:00 pm in Anshe Sfard Cemetery, Lower Demunds Rd., Dallas with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.
Shiva will be observed at 128 Lathrop St., Kingston, 7-9 pm Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday and 2-4 Friday.
