Lotte E. Mitchneck, 97, of Coconut Creek, FL, died on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at home.
Born in Kleinwallstadt, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Max and Lina Gruenebaum Stern. Lotte and her parents, left Germany, when she was 13 years old, just weeks before Hitler closed the border. They then were able to immigrate from Holland to New York City, where she worked as a model and hairdresser. She met her husband at Tamarac, in the Catskills. They settled in Wilkes-Barre for 39 years. She moved to Florida right before hurricane Andrew. She remained in Florida the rest of her life. She was immensely proud of her family and thrived on their activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jacob A. Mitchneck.
Lotte is survived by her son, James A. Mitchneck and his wife, Colleen of Malden, Massachusetts, grandchildren Rachel, Adam, Joseph Ariella and her husband Yechiel and great-grandchild Yaakov.
