LENORE HARRIS

Lenore Harris, of Kingston, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, with family by her side.
Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Sally Goldstein Linshes and was a graduate of Meyers High School. She attended Bucknell Jr. College. Lenore was a member in Perpetuity at Temple Israel and Ohav Zedek Synagogues. She was active member of the local community, participating in Head-start programs, and serving as a volunteer at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She's was devoted to her husband, "Butch" and to her children and grandchildren, all of whom adored her and will now greatly miss her.

She greatly appreciated the loving care provided by the Griswold agency caregivers during the last months of her life.

Her life was blessed with wide-ranging travel, for which she had a particular zest, one which she had the opportunity to share with many members of her family for many years.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by husband, Bernard Harris and granddaughter, Hanne Tischler.

She is survived by sons, Dr. James Tischler and his wife, Pilar, West Chester; Attorney David J. Harris and his wife, Leslie, Dallas; 2 grandsons, Micah Tischler and Ezra Tischler; and by her dear sister, Barbara Weisberger, Kingston, nieces and nephews.

Private graveside funeral service was held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at 4:00 pm in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Twp., with Rabbi Larry Kaplan and Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.

Shiva will be observed Wednesday, 7 to 9; Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9; Friday 2 to 4; at the home of David and Leslie Harris, 15 Glen Riddle Ln., Dallas and Sunday, from 2 to 5 pm at the home of Barbara Weisberger 571 Charles Ave., Kingston.
