JEROME FISCHER

Jerome J. Fischer, 99, of Pikesville, MD, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday evening, December 19, 2015 in Northwest Hospital, Baltimore, MD.

Born in West Wyoming, he was the son of the late Harry and Ethel Hershkowitz Fischer and was a graduate of Edwardsville High School and Wharton School of Business. He served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was Vice President of Sales for Prudential.

Mr. Fischer was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys R. Fischer and sisters, Hannah Kurland and Claire Beissinger and a brother, Philip Fischer.

He is survived by his sons, Ronald Fischer, Fort Lauderdale, FL and Larry Fischer, Bluebell, PA.

Funeral service will Monday, December 21, 2015, at 2:30 pm at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating. Interment will be Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Shiva will be observed Tuesday, December 22, 2015, from 7-9 pm at 195 Berkdale Drive, Bluebell, PA and Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 7-9 pm at North Oaks, 729 Mount Wilson Lane, Baltimore, MD
