JANICE SAVITZ

Janice W. Savitz, 90, of Kingston, died on November 15 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown.

She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Savitz, Esq. with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. She was the daughter of Sol and Ethel Weiss, formerly of Pottsville PA.

Janice was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She adored all of her nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was an enthusiastic world traveler, a wonderful hostess and an avid reader of books. Janice loved to sing opera in her younger years but she gave up singing career aspirations to become a wife and mother. She excelled in those roles and never looked back.

Janice is survived by her children, Marc Freedline and his partner William Johnson of San Diego Ca; Lynne and her husband Mark of Allentown PA.

Funeral services will be on Friday, November 17 at 11 AM at Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River St. Wilkes-Barre followed by interment at Temple Israel Cemetery in Swoyersville.

The family will receive visitors at the family home on Saturday, November 18 from 7 to 9 PM and Sunday, November 19 from 1 to 4 PM.
