Jack Ogof, 83, of White Haven, died Thursday, September 20, 2012, in the VA Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Bernard and Anna Schwartz Ogowetsky, worked in the garment industry and served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Temple Israel Synagogue and other civic and religious organizations.
He was preceded by his wife, the former Marilyn Boff and daughter, Penni Hartnett.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Marla Ogof, White Haven; brother, Arnold Ogof; grandchildren, Marilyn and Sinclaire Ogof and Codi and Zachary Hartnett.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 23, 2012 at 9:00 am at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating. Interment will follow in New Montefiore Cemetery, Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY.
