Irwin Pripstein Obituary

Irwin J. Pripstein, 81, of Wilkes-Barre, died Monday, June 2, 2018, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Sidney J. and Helen Bercovit Pripstein and was a graduate of Meyers High School and Penn State University, where he earned his Bachelors Degree. Irwin served in the US Army and was employed as a Business Manager in the Steel and Real Estate industries. He was a member of Congregation Ohav Zedek and former member of the JCA.

Irwin is survived by his brother Donald Pripstein and his wife, Judith, of Long Beach Township, NJ and Austin, TX; 3 nieces, and several great nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at 11:00 am in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, 500 Chestnut Street, Hanover Township with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.

Shiva will be observed at the Woodland Inn and Resort Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
