Helen Sampiero,87, of Wilkes-Barre, Died Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at home.
Born in Chicago Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Kahn. Helen was a member of Temple B'nai B'rith and it's sisterhood. She was a former member of the Jewish Community Center and volunteered for The American Red Cross the JCC and many organizations.
Helen was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, By her loving husband, Peter, who was the love of her life and that not even his passing in 1992 changed that, by their son Ronald and 9 siblings.
She is survived by her son Edward Sampiero (Susan), Wilkes Barre; daughter, Hope Loiacono, Wilkes Barre, grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, Chelsea and Stephanie and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as many cherished friends, who were every bit as close as family. Family and friends were the focus of Helen's life.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre with Rabbi Roger Lerner officiating. Interment will follow in Temple B'nai B'rith Cemetery, Hanover Township.
The family will be receiving friends on Monday and Tuesday between 2-4pm and from 7-9pm at the residence at 348 S. River St Wilkes-Barre.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Peter Sampiero Religious School scholarship fund in care of Temple B'nai B'rith or charity of donors choice.
