Gladys was a Kosher Home Delivered Meal volunteer when I worked at Jewish Family Service. It was always a delight to see her and I enjoyed our chats. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Mrs. Weisberger was my 4th grade teacher at Luzerne Avenue Elementary in West Pittston in 1979-1980.  I was a very shy and awkward child and was had gone through a lot by that time of my life. My mother was just recovering from an alcohol addiction and I never wanted to leave her to go to school.   I thought if I was at school , she would be sad and start drinking.   I would cry at school frequently but I couldn't explain to Mrs Weisberger what was wrong.  She was always compassionate and tried to boost my spirits whenever I would cry.  She praised my academic abilities often so this made me feel confident.  I wish I could have told her the impact she had in life.  I will never forget her.
