GERALDINE TROY

Geraldine Troy, of Kingston, died Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Celtic In Patient Unit, South Wilkes-Barre with family by her side.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Max and Mary Waggenheim Tankel, was a graduate of Julia Richmond High School and attended Hunter College. She was a bookkeeper at Congregation Ohav Zedek, Wilkes-Barre and was a life member. She was kind person who loved baking and enjoyed chocolate.

Geraldine was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Ephraim F. Troy and sister Ruth Wasser.

She is survived by her loving children, Marleen Troy, Kingston; Mark Troy, San Francisco, CA; brothers, Seymour Tankel, Santa Monica, CA; Sheldon Tankel, Boynton Beach, FL, nieces and nephews.

Funeral for Gerry will be held Friday, February 3, 2017, at 10:00 am from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St. Wilkes-Barre with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.

Interment will follow in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Twp.

Shiva will be observed from 7 to 9 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2017 and Sunday through Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at 192 Butler St. Kingston.
