GERALDINE SCHONFELD

Geraldine Schonfeld, of Wilkes-Barre, died Tuesday, June 10, 2014, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Rebecca Hirsch Platsky and was a graduate of GAR High School. She was a member of the Womens Service Club of the JCC for over 20 years and other civic and religious organizations.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Harold and son in law, Gerald Passikoff.

She is survived by her children, son Ivan Schonfeld and his wife, Jill, Allentown; daughters, Toni Passikoff, Wilkes-Barre; Marlene Schonfeld, Wilkes-Barre, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be conducted, Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 11:00 am at Rosenberg Funeral Service, Inc. 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating.

Interment will follow Workman Circle Cemetery, Shavertown.

Shiva will be observed Thursday from 7 to 9 pm, Friday from 2-4 and Sunday from 2-4 at 110 Edison Street, Wilkes-Barre.
