Gerald F. Baer, of Drums, died Tuesday morning, February 21, 2017, in Golden Living Center, Wilkes-Barre, with family by his side.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Morris and Eva Waldman Baer and was a graduate of Scranton High School. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army and owned and operated Baer's Deli, Wilkes-Barre. Gerald was a member of Congregation Ohav Zedek, The Jewish War Veterans and other civic and religious organizations.
He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by his brothers, Morton and Robert Baer.
He is survived by his wife, the former Helyn Sidelnick; son, Wayne Baer; daughters, Debbie Timko and Cindy Carlo.
Graveside funeral service was held in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
