Frieda Buchsbaum, 89, formerly of Kingston, died Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2017, in Daughters of Israel, West Orange, NJ.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bertha Jacobovitz Slomovitz and was a graduate of Coughlin High School. Frieda was a member of Ohav Zedek Synagogue and other civic and religious organizations.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Gerald Buchsbaum and siblings, Shirley Jaffee and David Slomowitz.
Frieda is survived by son, Mark Buchsbaum and his wife Bonita Tillman Buchsbaum, Palm City, FL; daughter, Nancy Buchsbaum Weinstein and her husband, Michael, Milburn, NJ and 3 grandchildren, Bethany and Marla Weinstein and Benjamin Buchsbaum.
Graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at 11:30 am in Anshe Sfard Cemetery, Dallas, with Rabbi Dovid Kaplan officiating.
