FLORA SCHWARTZ

Flora Carol Schwartz, 87, of Peoria, AZ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Jerome and Gertrude Thorner and a Kingston

High School graduate. Flora lived in Kingston, Pa prior to moving to Arizona in 1996, and was a lifetime member of the Congregation Ohav Zedek. Flora managed The Diet Center in Kingston and was revered for her incredible success at motivating and supporting her devoted clients. Flora will be remembered as a vibrant woman who lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed going to the movies, reading, volunteering and was an avid bridge player.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Asher Schwartz, and second husband, Aaron Schwartz.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kathy (Todd) Arak, Susan (Richard) Small, and Lisa (David) Pupa; loving grandmother to Ashely Cassuto (Ari), Mandi Brunker (Jason) and Carly Small (Tessa) and great-grandmother to Chloe and Eli Cassuto, Olivia Brunker.

Her bigger than life personality and kindness touched the lives of so many people.

Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 1:00 pm in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. Wilkes-Barre, PA.
