Ethel Pollack, 100, of Plains Township, died Friday, October 4, 2013, in Manor Care Med Bridge, Kingston.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Gertie Lebowitz Levy and was a graduate of GAR High School. Ethel was employed as a Manager for Jo Bell Hats, was a member of the former United Orthodox Synagogue; member of the former Bnai Jacob Synagogue; a member of Congregation Ohav Zedek, it's siterhood; the Jewish Community Center, and other civic and religious organizations.
Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1991, brothers, Albert Levy, Louis Levy, Mike Levy and sister, Thelma Morgan.
She is survived by daughter, Phylis Fischer, Plains Township; grandsons, Stuart Fischer and his wife, Sheri, Vienna, VA; Gary Fischer and his wife, Margaret, Pittsburgh; 3 great grandchildren, Joseph, Dov and Ana, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be conducted, Sunday, October 6, 2013, at 2:00 pm at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Raphael Nemetsky officiating.
Interment will follow in Bnai Jacob Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre.
Shiva will be observed at 604 Wildflower Drive, Plains Township, 7 - 9 PM on Sunday, 2 - 4 PM and 7 - 9 PM Monday through Thursday, and 11 AM - 1 PM on Friday.
Memorial Contributions may be made to charity of donors choice.
