ESTELLE MEYER

Estelle Meyer, 96, of North Branford, CT, died Monday, January 30, 2017, in Yale-New Haven Hospital, New Haven, CT.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late James and Frieda Klein Lustig and was a graduate of Scranton High School. She owned and operated an employment agency in Manhattan, prior to her retiring and was a member of Temple Israel Synagogue, Wilkes-Barre.

Estelle was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her loving husband, Dr. Alfred T. Meyer and siblings, Mildred Cantor, Seymour Lustig and Leona Benioff.

She is survived by her sons, Jerome H. Meyer and his wife, Roslyn, CT; Frederick Meyer and his wife, Rima, NJ; 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and 20 nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville.

There will be no local shiva.
