Eileen Trompetter (93), of Rockville, MD, formerly of Kingston, died Saturday morning, July 8, 2017 at home.
Born on November 17, 1923, in Bronx, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Lena Tepper Gibelman She was a graduate of Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre. Eileen worked as a bookkeeper in her families business, Hurjax Photo Supply, Wilkes-Barre and Kingston. She was a member of Temple Israel Synagogue and its sisterhood. She was a very active member of the Jewish Community Center and other civic and religious organizations.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Jack H. Trompetter, infant son Alan, and her siblings.
Eileen is survived by her loving daughters, Susan (Alan) Levin, Hagerstown, MD; Patricia Lunt, Alexandria, VA; six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11:30 am from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St. Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating.
Interment will be in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville.
There will be no local Shiva.
