Edwin Kaplan, of Scranton, died late Friday afternoon, June 5, 2015, at the Jewish Home of Northeastern PA, Scranton.
Born in Scranton he was the son of the late Harry and Lena Kaplan and graduated from Scranton High School. Edwin was self-employed as a master plumber prior to retiring and was a member of Beth Shalom Congregation, Scranton.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Miriam, parents and siblings, Helen and Morris.
Edwin is survived by family, Fred and Beverly Berley, Shavertown; Wayne and Sharon Baer, Wilkes-Barre; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; nephew, Butch Weinberg; and niece Terrie Jacobson.
A graveside funeral service will be held today, Sunday at 1:30 p.m. in Anshe Sfard Cemetery, lower demands road, Dallas, with Rabbi David Kaplan officiating.
Arrangements are by Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Wilkes-Barre.
Luncheon and Shiva will follow the funeral service at The Woodlands Inn and Resort from 3 to 5 p.m
