Dr. Irvin Jacobs, 93, of Dallas, died Wednesday morning, December 9, 2020 in the Meadows Nursing Home, Dallas.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Julius and Dora Feingold Cohen and served his country in the United States Navy. He graduated from Jefferson Medical School, Philadelphia and served the community first in Noxen Medical Center then founded Dallas Family Practice. He was a member of Temple Israel; former member of the Jewish Community Center; loved his work and spending time with family. His patients and families came first.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by siblings, Morris, Harry, David, Rose, Anna, Sylvia Jacobs and Evelyn Levin.
Dr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Jewel Cohen Jacobs of Dallas; son, Randy (Mary Richmond) Jacobs of Dallas; Pam Williams of Pringle; brother, Charles (Joan) Jacobs of Philadelphia; granddaughter, Nikki; great grandchildren, Ian and McKenzie, nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral service will be on Friday, December 11, 2020, at 10:00 am in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville. Rabbi Larry Kaplan will officiate.
