Dr. David Ian Potash, of Plains, passed away on December 31, 2025. He was born on September 17, 1960, in Wilkes-Barre, to the late Melvin and Mildred “Millie” Potash.
David was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and went on to the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Sciences and PSPM (Temple University) for his doctorate in Podiatry Care. Following his education, he established his own practice in Wilkes-Barre, and dedicated his career to helping others through compassionate and skilled podiatric care. He took great pride in serving his community and improving the quality of life for his patients.
In his spare time, David enjoyed fishing, comedy and science-fiction shows and was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to cheering on his beloved Philadelphia Eagles.
He is survived by his brother, Gregg Potash of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; his sister-in-law, Linda Marks-Potash; and his niece, Emily Jane Potash. He was a loyal and caring son, brother, friend and proud uncle and was truly loved by those who knew him.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his brother, Lyle Potash.
Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, January 5, 2026 at 11:00 am from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River St. Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Temple B'nai B'rith Cemetery, Hanover Township.
