Dr. Stanley A. Rosenblatt, 77, of Mountain Top, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at home surrounded by his family.
Born, June 20, 1937, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel and Emma Rosenblatt. He served in the United States Army as a Captain during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of the Bronze Star Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with Over Seas Bar. He was a graduate of Villanova, Class of 1958 with a Bachelors Degree in Biology and from Jefferson Medical College with a Medical Degree, Class of 1962. Stanley did his internship at Mount Sinai Hospital, Miami Beach Florida, prior to serving his country. He did his residency at Yale University School of Medicine, while being board certified in Neurology and taught at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia. Dr. Rosenblatt practiced Neurology in Northeastern PA, until 1987 when he became Medical Director at John Heinz Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine in Wilkes-Barre until 1993.
Stanley was preceded in death by his sister, Phylis Weisgold.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy; daughter, Debbie; sons, Joshua and Lee; his many nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog, Charlie.
Funeral service was held Thursday, September 4, 2014 at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating. Interment was held in the Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose.
