Debbie Schonfeld, 67, of Wilkes-Barre, died Saturday, December 12, 2020 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

 

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Morton “Moe” and Lois Schonfeld and was a graduate of Meyers High School, Class of 1971 and Wilkes College, where she earned her Bachelors Degree. Debbie worked as Administrator of Temple Israel Synagogue for over 20 years, prior to retiring and enjoyed trips to NYC. She loved playing the piano; artwork and art shows and most of all spending time with her family and friends.

 

Left to cherish her memory is her loving brother, James Schonfeld and his wife, Joan of Sheatown.

 

She was a beloved aunt to one niece and one nephew who she adored; Julia Marczak and her husband, John and Benjamin Schonfeld and his wife, Danielle. She is also survived by great nieces and nephew, Emma and Natalie Marczak and Alexandra and Jacob Schonfeld.

 

Due to Covid a Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. Wilkes-Barre 

 

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to Rabbi's Discretionary Fund, c/o Temple Israel Synagogue or charity of donors choice.
