CHESTER WRUBEL Obituary

Chester S. Wrubel, 76, passed into eternal life surrounded by his family at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital on Tuesday, September 28th, 2021.

 

Born in Nanticoke PA, and a lifelong member of Alden, Newport Twp, he was the son of the late Chester and Stella (Sklaney) Wrubel. Chester was a graduate of Newport High School, Class of 1963, and an attendee of Wilkes University. Chester was a 44-year dedicated employee at Certain-Teed Insulation Manufacturer in Mountain Top. Chester was an avid hunter and fisherman, as well as a devoted family man to his loving wife, children, grandchildren, and his dogs: Dolly and Kimber.

 

Along with his parents; he was preceded in death by his son, Dennis Wrubel, and brother, Simon Wrubel.

 

He is survived by his soulmate and wife of 55 years, Teena (Odro) Wrubel; daughter: Denise (Wrubel) Thomas, and husband Daniel Thomas; Grandchildren: Deanna Thomas, and fiance Joseph Shimko, Devn Thomas and Megen Banas; sister Carolyn (Wrubel) Halchak; in addition with numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October, 1st, 2021 at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc., (348 S. River Street, Wilkes-Barre PA) at 2:00. Continuing immediately after, graveside funeral services will be held at Temple B’nai Brith Cemetery (corner of Olive Street and S. Main St, Hanover Twp). 

 

In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be sent in honor and memory of Chester to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road, Dallas, PA 18612, or virtually at https://www.bcfanimalrefuge.org/donate, or to an organization of your choosing. 

 

Everyone attending services is encouraged to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines.
