Charlotte Cutler, 100 years old, passed away late Friday evening, November 17, 2023.
Charlotte was the daughter of Ethel and Isadore Reichlin. She was a graduate of Luzerne High School and Bucknell JR. College (now Wilkes University). She worked as a lab technician at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and helped establish a testing lab at the ILGWU Clinic in Wilkes-Barre. For many years after the death of her first husband, Dr. Aaron Lisses, she managed an office for Dr. Brown Optometrists. Charlotte was an active member and officer for several organizations at Temple Israel Synagogue and the Jewish Community Center.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Dr. Aaron Lisses, Optometrist, and Mr. Joseph Cutler who owned and operated the Fashion Youth Center Clothing Store in Edwardsville.
Charlotte is survived by her children, Myrna Bookbinder and her husband Robert, Lynnette Kislin (late Joel Kislin), Dr. Lewis Lisses and his wife Kim; her stepson James Cutler and his wife Beth Wheeler; grandchildren, Adam, Matthew, Aimee, Rachel, Erica, and Aaron; step grandchildren; Jessica and Niels, Eliza and Chuck, Lucy and Christopher, and Hannah; great grandchildren, Cyan, Adira, Ilya, Owen, and her newest great grandchild, Charlotte.
Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 South River Street, Wilkes-Barre with Rabbi Larry Kaplan and Cantor Aaron Abraham officiating. Interment will follow in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville.
Shiva will be observed at the home of Charlotte Cutler from 7 to 9pm on Monday, 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Cutler Fund at Temple Israel or to the charity of the donor's choice.
