CELIA H. MOORE

Celia H. Moore, of the Jewish Home, Scranton, formerly of Kingston, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in the Jewish Home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Kachanski Lasman and was a graduate of GAR High School. Celia and her husband, owned and operated Harold's Sandwich Shop on Northampton Street in Wilkes-Barre, prior to retirement. She was a member of the former Anshe Emes Synagogue, the former United Orthodox Synagogue, Congregation Ohav Zedek and other civic and religious organizations.

Celia was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Moore; brother, Sanford Lasman and sisters, Katherine Rosen, Hilda Lubin and Hannah Fischman.

She is survived by children, Cindy Jerrytone and her husband, Thomas, Nanticoke; Jill Hoover and her husband, Daniel, Mountain Top; Brian Moore, Albrightsville; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Gertrude Seeherman, Kingston; nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral service will be conducted today, Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 2:00 pm, at Anshe Emes Cemetery, Rear Blanchard Street, Plains. Rabbi Raphael Nemetsky will officiate.

Shiva will be observed at 4 Red Coat Lane, Mountain Top, Walden Park, 7-9 pm, today, Wednesday; 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday, and 2-4 Sunday.

Memorial Contributions, if desired, may be made to the Jewish Home, 1101 Vine Street, Scranton.
