Bernard S. Rockman, 89 of Clarks Summit, formerly of Kingston, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, in Elan Gardens.
Born in Tamaqua, he was the son of the Abraham and Annie Tulin Rockman and was a graduate of Hazleton High School. Bernard served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and was owner and operator of Beroc Inc., a bakery equipment sales company. He was a member of Ohav Zedek Synagogue, the Jewish War Veterans and the Jewish Community Center.
Mr. Rockman was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet.
He is survived by sons, Howard Rockman, Queens; Jeffrey Rockman, Kingston; daughter, Aline Frisch, West Hempstead, Long Island; 2 grandchildren, Arik, NY; Danit, Israel, several great grandchildren; brother, Leonard Rockman, Tolleson, AZ.
Funeral service will be held, Monday, January 12, 2015, at 2:30 pm from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Township. Rabbi Zvi Perlman will officiate.
Shiva will be observed in Queens for the full shiva week.
