BARBARA RAPPAPORT

Barbara L. Rappaport, 82, of Kingston, died at home on Sunday, November 27, 2022.

Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late Irving E. and Alfreda Lottie Osband Frank; attended Elmer L. Meyers High School, Wilkes University and the Albert Einstein School of Nursing in Philadelphia.  Barbara was employed as a registered nurse, taught nursing education at LCCC and spent over 20 years as an administrator at John Heinz Institute of Rehabilitation in Wilkes-Barre. She was a lifetime member of Temple Israel and a member of other civic and religious organizations. She enjoyed playing mah-jong, knitting, traveling and baking. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Rappaport.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa (Mark) Jacobs; Sharyn (Jason) Jones and Abby (Paul) Spotts.  She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Private Family Graveside funeral service was held in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville.

Shiva will be from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday at the family home in Kingston.
