BARBARA FEINSTEIN

Barbara C. Feinstein passed away peacefully on Monday, September 20, 2021.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Lena Lappen Cohen. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary and attended Russell Sage College in Troy, NY. She was married to Gilbert Feinstein for 52 years, until his passing in 2010.

Together they raised three children in Woodmere, NY, before moving to Sarasota, FL. Barbara is survived by her children, Dr. Peter Feinstein and his wife Jane, Carol Beitcher and her husband Bob, and Susan Feigenbaum and her husband Joe. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Andrew, Eric (Julia Emanuel), and Ross (Lesley Kiger) Feinstein, Nick, Claire, Adrienne and Gabe Beitcher, and Kara and Tess Feigenbaum; great-grandchildren Noa and Wes Feinstein; and sister, Trudy Harris. Per Barbara’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.

A Zoom shiva (www.tinyurl.com/BarbaraFeinstein) will be held on Sunday at 4:30 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the Sjogren’s Foundation, American Friends of Hebrew University, the Motion Picture and Television Fund, World Wildlife Fund, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
