AVA FELLERMAN Obituary

Ava Marie Fellerman

It is with great sadness that the family of Ava Fellerman announces her sudden passing from a tragic car accident in Florida, on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the age of 20. She was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.

Ava was born on April 29, 2002, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, to Tonia Barrouk and Gregory Fellerman. Ava graduated from Elmer L. Meyers High School, class of 2020, where she was active in field hockey and a member of the National Honor Society. After graduation, Ava moved to Clearwater, Florida, to attend St. Petersburg College. In 2022, she moved to Treasure Island, Florida and transferred to the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg.

Anyone who knew Ava knew that she was assertive and driven to achieve her goals. She had an enviable and fierce love for life, a hard-working mentality, and lived each day to the fullest. Ava blossomed in her new home of Clearwater, excelling in school, making new friends, and finding a new passion in the restaurant business as a bartender and waitress. Ava’s smile could light up any room, she exuded a light that drew everyone to her. Ava’s compassion for people and animals was reflected not only through her love and devotion to her cat, Meow- Meow, but through her charity work and her relationships with her friends and loved ones. The service industry was second nature to Ava, as she was passionate about helping and talking with anyone she met. Following in her mother Toni’s footsteps, Ava began a promising modeling career and was recently featured in the 2023 Hooters calendar. Although stunning, her physical beauty paled in comparison to the beauty of her soul. Ava continuously inspired those who knew her to be the best version of themselves and used her tenacity to help them reach their own goals. For her family, Ava was like the sun, bright and beautiful, warm and comforting. Her family will always enjoy watching the sunrise and sunset and they will find peace and comfort in knowing that their Ava is smiling down on them.

Ava is survived by her mother and step-father, Tonia and Greg Barrouk; her father and step-mother, Gregory and Melanie Fellerman; her siblings, Elise and Aiden, and step-siblings, Carly, Elizabeth, Emily, and William; her maternal Grandmother, Dawn Maffei; and paternal grandfather, Dr. Herbert Fellerman.  She also leaves behind many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Rhoda Ann Fellerman, her maternal grandfather, Eugene Maffei, Sr., her Uncle Michael Brostoski, her beloved nanny Margaret Mulaski, and her best furry buddies Nelson and Teddy.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held in Ava’s honor on December 28th, 2022 at the Friedman JCC 613 S.J. Strauss Lane Kingston, PA. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. and friends and family are invited to visit from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
