Arthur J. Shuman, 83, of Mount Joy, formerly of Kingston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Leo and Dena Baer Shuman and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a talented commercial artist prior to his retirement and later worked with a number of organizations in our community including Blum Bros., YMCA and the Jewish Community Center. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was a life-long Red Sox Fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy Blum Shuman and two brothers and their wives, Robert and Marcia Shuman and Alan and Audrey Shuman.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Larry (Aarica) Shuman of Columbus, Ohio, daughter, Lynne (Scot) Harlacher of Mt. Joy, PA; grandchildren, Mickey (Xenia) Shuman and Eliana Shuman, Joanna Harlacher, Megan Harlacher, nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating.
Shiva will be observed at Temple Israel in Wilkes Barre from 3:00-5:00pm followed by minyan at 5:15pm.
