Ann Rifkin, of Edwardsville, died Sunday, October 18, 2015, in Celtic Hospice, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Dickinson City, she was the daughter, of the late Samuel and Sarah Moskovitz Chvotzkin and was a member of Temple Israel and the Jewish Community Center, both of Wilkes-Barre. Ann worked as a Receptionist for Community Counseling, worked along side with her husband, for many years in their family owned candy store business and she enjoyed playing Canasta.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Myron Rifkin, daughter, Nancy Lee Rifkin Skolnik; brothers, Hyman Chvotzkin, Max Chvotzkin and sister Faye Sutton.
She is survived by her son, Robert A. Rifkin and his wife, Susanne, Bethesda, MD; grandchildren, Benjamin Rifkin, Samuel Rifkin and Andrew Skolnik; niece and nephew.
Funeral service will be conducted, Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at 10:00 am from the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating.
Interment will be in the Penn Monroe section of the Scranton Jewish Cemeteries, Dalton.
