Albert Frank, 94, of Kingston, peacefully passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, at home.
Born in New York, the son of the late Harry and Bessie Sherman Frank, Al graduated Erasmus Hall High School and earned acceptance to Cooper Union College in New York. After a year of study, Al left school to serve his country in the United States Navy, only to return and attend Columbia University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree. His professional life revolved around his specialty as an Industrial Engineer, ultimately leading to a position as the head of the State of Maryland’s Water Conservation Program. He was a member of Temple Israel and other civic and religious organizations and donated to many charities. He was particularly proud of his and his companion Susan’s involvement in the Huntsville Country Club’s Autism Awareness Tournament.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, brother Howard Frank and beloved Susan Yelen.
He is survived by his sons, Steven (Cathy) Frank of Pittsburgh; Stuart (Jennifer) Frank of Birmingham, Alabama; four grandchildren, Jason, Hannah, Samuel and Harris Frank; 4 great grandchildren, Rachel,Maya, John Sandson and Reese.
Graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Ohav Zedek Cemetery, Hanover Township, with Rabbi David Kaplan and Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiating.
Al will be sadly missed by his numerous friends, associates and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan Yelen Memorial Endowment at Temple Israel, 613 S. J. Strauss Lane, Kingston, PA 18704.
