Harold Brandwene, of Kingston, died Saturday morning, March 3, 2018, in Stamford Hospital, Stamford, CT.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Maurice David and Gertrude Rosenheim Brandwene and was a graduate of Wyoming Seminary High School and Syracuse University where he earned his Bachelors Degree. Harold served his country proudly in the United States Army during World War II and was the recipient of the EAME Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Harold owned and operated MD Brandwene Shoe Company, Wilkes-Barre, prior to his retirement.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by siblings
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Neuman Brandwene, Kingston; son, David Brandwene and his wife, Amy, Hartsdale, NY; daughter, Debbie Brandwene-Lese and her husband, Jonathan Lese and their daughter, Rachel Lese of Stamford, CT.
Graveside funeral service and interment, with Military Honors, will be conducted on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 12:00 noon, in the West Pittston Jewish Cemetery, 22 Wilkern St. West Pittston. Cantor Ahron Abraham will officiate.
There will be no local shiva.
