Frances M. Goldman, 80, of Dallas, died Friday, June 1, 2018, in Post Acute Medical, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Irvin M. and Beatrice E. Silver Borish, was a graduate of Kokomo High School and earned her Masters Degree at Indiana University. Fran was a Service Representative for Commonwealth Telephone, prior to retiring and was a member of Temple B'nai B'rith, its sisterhood, served on board of trustees and served as past president of the sisterhood. She was President for the NEPA Red Hats and Queen of Back Mountain Laurels.
Fran is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Daniel Goldman; daughters, Beth Roman and her husband, Gregg, Oxford, MS; Ruth Helgemo and her husband, William, Morton Grove, IL; five grandchildren, Jacob, Max, Ryan, Eric and Sara.
Funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, Inc. 348 S. River St. Wilkes-Barre with Rabbi Roger Lerner officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park, Skokie, IL.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org), Victim Resource Center (vrcnepa.org/donate) or charity of donors choice.
Shiva will be observed at 25 Dorchester Drive, Dallas, on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm; Tuesday 7 and 9 pm and Wednesday from 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
