Florence (Flo) Weiner (1926-2019) Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother.
Flo Weiner, of Palm Beach Gardens, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019, at the age of 93. She was born on August 7, 1926 in New York City and attended Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York.
She was preceded by her husband Sam Weiner, with whom she enjoyed 56 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons Lon S. Weiner, M.D. and his wife Michelle Weiner of Rumson, NJ; Keith R. Weiner, R.PH. of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and Charles (Chuck) Weiner, Esquire and his wife Ellen Weiner of Newtown, PA. She was a loving “Grandma” to Jake, Allie, Kyra and Travis.
Friends, family, dancing and fine food were her passion. Popular and gregarious, her zeal for life was her trademark. She made a point of meeting and greeting people at social gatherings and loved to entertain and feed family and friends at her home. Dedicated to community services, she was active in Temple Israel of Wilkes-Barre, the Wilkes-Barre Jewish Community Center Sisterhood and the Jewish War Veterans Women’s Auxiliary.
Flo lived in Kingston, PA with her family from 1955 through 1995 and along with her husband founded Coronet Fashions, Inc., which was a successful dress manufacturing business in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She and her husband retired to Palm Beach Gardens, FL where they enjoyed many years together.
Funeral services will be held at Palm Beach National Chapel, Lake Worth, Florida on Friday, September 6, 2019 with internment at the South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.
